Today was another busy day filled with learning about all that God has to offer for our lives. We are so blessed to have been given life through Christ who died for each and everyone of us! Once again students took part in morning sessions with Pastor Boe and Pastor Jonathan Unverzagt. We are so thankful that we were able to listen to them speak this week helping us to strengthen our relationship with God! After morning sessions, the kids were able to select two electives that they would like to go to. Pastor Jim Johnson's elective was a favorite in which he spoke on Lady Gaga, Islam, the Emergent Church, and Facebook Faith: Pure and Undefied Religion. This was a popular session for many people and really challenged kids to think about who controls their life and how much time is spent in God's word or how much time is spent listening to bad music, hanging out with the wrong crowd, and making choices which we want to make- rather than choices God wants us to make. After morning electives we ate lunch and boarded the bus to head to Estes Park to go shopping and tour the town! It was fun to visit the little shops downtown- there was a lot of t-shirt shops and ice cream! :) After we were all tired out from shopping we met with our group and shared in a special time together to discuss what this week meant to each of us and we prayed together and sang "Amazing Grace" as we joined hands! God is at work in all of our lives this week! Tonight we joined together in an moving evening service provided by Pastor Eric Westlake. He is currently a pastor, small business owner, and real estate renovation from Zumbroata, MN. We thank God for all the kids who committed their life to Christ tonight! Please continue to keep everyone here at camp in your prayers and pray for a spiritual turning in their lives as they ask the Lord to be their Savior. Also, please pray for the elections that will take place tomorrow and that God will bless the right people to be selected for the job!
Finally tonight we were able to enjoy The Skit Guys who were a group of two guys who grew up together and devoted their lives to Christ entertained us with their humor! :) There are videos on Youtube if you want to check them out!
Tomorrow we are going to participate in volleyball tournament at 1:30 and then some of us will be trying attempt number 2 horseback riding up the mountain!
Goodnight from Colorado!
